Yellow Studio Juried Member Show
On Saturday November 23, Yellow Studio will host the opening reception for our inaugural Juried Member Art Show. From painting to photography to sculpture, mixed media and beyond, please join us to view and purchase artwork by our Artist Members.
Three pieces from my latest series will be on view, Dawn, Stellar and Eternal. In this work, I explore the balance between intention and uncertainty. Using loose pigments, I begin with a plan—mapping out color relationships—then let the natural interaction of pigment and water shape the final outcome. This process mirrors the space between my activism and acceptance of the unknown. It’s a meditative practice that nurtures both reflection and hope.

44th Annual Faber Birren National Color Show
My watercolor piece will be featured in the 44th Annual Faber Birren National Color show. In 1980, Faber Birren, world renowned color consultant, author of 27 books on color, endowed the Faber Birren Color Award of $1200 for original and creative expression of color. The Faber Birren Color Award Show has grown from a regional exhibit to one of national scope, encouraging artists in all media. This competition is the only artistic event devoted exclusively to the use of color. This year the Stamford Art Association celebrates its 43rd year of the Faber Birren National Color Award Show.

This exciting summer pop up market has so many things I love, from my favorite locally made Ice Cream, to a friend’s new sustainable children’s clothing business. A wonderful group of vendors to shop from. The Member Art Show will still be on display, so this is a great chance to combine seeing the art with a lovely day of shopping.
